Redwood Lifts Regional Award as Medical Mattress Supplier

Redwood TTM were delighted to be named regional winners at the Insider Media 2025 Made in the North West Awards held recently in Liverpool.
The awards champion the region's manufacturing excellence, recognising traditional manufacturers, as well as digital engineering, apprenticeship training schemes and sectors like food and automotive.
Redwood were named as the winner in the Medical, Life Sciences and Healthcare category. This is the category for the pharmaceutical, biomedical, biotechnology, health product or medical devices company that the judges deem has had the biggest impact in the region and beyond.
A red letter day for a white label company
As a white label medical mattress supplier to a number of leading healthcare brands across the sector, Redwood are delighted to be recognised in their own right on this occasion. Redwood creates high quality products, often without customers even knowing their origin. It is often said that whenever you are in a healthcare setting, chances are there will be a Redwood medical mattress or other medical product close by, even if it is not labelled as such.
In addition, Redwood are also medical mattress suppliers for their own highly successful and respected brand, Verituss. These fully compliant pressure care mattresses are available in a wide range of specifications to suit all circumstances.
More than just a medical mattress supplier
Of course, Redwood are much more than just a medical mattress supplier, with a wide range of medical products and devices available. The product range includes everything from patient moving and handling equipment to cushions and wheelchair pads, covering specialist applications from incontinence to infection control, pressure relief to personal protective equipment.
The judges were impressed with Redwood’s submission, which emphasised the impressive growth of the business: ‘Redwood has achieved measurable growth over the past 12 months, both within our local region and further afield,’ it read. ‘This has been driven by an increase in order volumes from existing customers as well as new contract wins in adjacent healthcare markets. To support this demand, we’ve expanded production capacity and strengthened our workforce—adding new roles and investing in staff development’.
Genuine recognition
Insider Media is respected as the UK's largest regional B2B publishing and events business, with no less than 96% of their readers and attendees being senior business decision makers.
Unlike some industry awards, where a steep entry fee almost guarantees recognition in some shape or form, the Insider Media Made in the North West awards are free to enter, making the award all the more satisfying, as Darren Pilling at Redwood explained:

As regional winners, Skelmersdale-based Redwood will now go forward to the national event, the Made in the UK Awards, which will take place in Liverpool on 19th June. “We’re honoured to be representing our region on this prestigious stage,” says Darren Pilling. “We’re excited for the chance to showcase the impact Redwood TTM is making in the healthcare and life sciences sector across the UK”.
